It’s a boy!
Posted by Dylan in General Ramblings on June 19th, 2008
Harrison is three now. A times it seems like the time has completely flown by, at others it seems like it’s been an age. However it seems to be long enough to forget enough about the sleep deprivation and smelly nappies enough to have another one.
Number two is due on November the 9th (or 8th, depending who you believe) and after a scan yesterday we now know that the second child is, just like the first, a boy. Two kids is the magic number for us, so it looks it’s all boys for us now.
At least it means I don’t have to buy a shotgun.
48HOURS Victory
Posted by Dylan in General Ramblings, Video/TV on June 18th, 2008
It had to happen eventually I guess. Our 48HOURS team, Fractured Radius, managed to win one this year!
In this, our sixth year making a film in 48 hours, we drew ‘Drama’ as our genre. After much discussion we came to the realisation that we had no choice, we had to make a serious film.
The End is the story of a desperate man with a drastic plan to win back his ex-girlfriend. Things don’t necessarily work as planned for him, and the film becomes something quite intense.
From over 200 teams in Auckland we made the top 12, which we then won to our absolute surprise. We were judged to have made the best film in Auckland in 2008, and now we are a finalist for the Grand Nation prize. Our film will be judged alongside around 8 others by a panel of international judges with all the films and the final result being broadcast on C4 at 8:30pm on July 3rd.
Amazing.
